Rhedd and Rosie's challenge....

Hello bloggers!

Got two blog posts for you today, woo hoo!
This one is my Design Team make for Rhedd and Rosie's challenge starting today, and the theme this time is 'Something for the men'.

I've used an old (and I didn't realise until too late, valuable!!) RAF map in the background, with the motorbike, tyre tread and sentiment from Visible Image.  I'm going to enter this in their 'Sentiment' Challenge this month.

There's a fab prize on offer for the winner of Rhedd and Rosie's 'Something for men' challenge...

Super stuff eh?  Pop over to the challenge by clicking HERE!
I'm also entering this in the Make it Monday challenge.

Golden wedding

Hello friends!

I've made a card for my in-law's Golden Wedding Anniversay, wow, that's a loooooong time to be married!!
I admired some beautiful rose cards made by lovely Eileen Godwin using a Stampin' Up embossing folder, and I then found that they made a stamp of the same rose, (called Fifth Avenue Florals).  I stamped the rose onto watercolour paper and embossed it, then coloured with distress inks.  The sentiment is also from Stampin' Up (retired now), and the flourish is from Indigoblu (many thanks Zoe for telling me about that little beauty! :) )

So happy Golden wedding anniversary Ann and John!  Many congratulations and much love xxxxxxx

Thank you for visiting my blog, big hugs! xxx

Here's one I made a while ago....

Hello peeps!

I'm concentrating on finishing a module towards my Open University degree, so I'm not really doing much craft at the moment.  I will have completed that module at the end of September, so be ready for a pile of stuff to start appearing then!  Here's a tag I made a while ago to keep my little blog ticking.....

I've used the lovely Circle Cluster from Designs by Ryn here, the set includes one big stamp of many circles and two individual circle stamps.    The sentiment is from The Artistic Stamper and the butterfly is from Clarity Stamps.
I'm entering this in the Make it Monday challenge.
Thank you for stopping by, I love reading all your lovely kind comments, thank you so much! :) xxx

Steampunk...ish!!

Hello!

It's time for another Rhedd and Rosie challenge, and this time we would love you to make something 'Steampunkie'!  We are sponsored this time by Rick St Dennis, and he's offering 3 digi images for the
winner.

Well, I've never made anything remotely like steampunk before, so here's my best shot using one of Rick's images......

I used distress inks to colour the tag, then stamped cogs and numbers from Visible Image's Time after Time set over the tag.  I also used a mask with cogs on it down the left side.  I coloured the image with Inktense pencils, they are lovely to use!
I'm entering this in the Make it Monday challenge.
Hope you are all keeping snug in this wet and dismal British weather, such a shock after our hot summer....
Thanks for visiting, hugs! xxxx

Garden fairy

Hello bloggers!

Today's card uses the lovely and ever-useful 'Leafy branch' from Designs by Ryn, and some of the stamps from my Oxford Impressions set.  Isn't she a cutie??
I used the acrylic block technique to make this background (Distress inks on an acrylic block, spritz with water then plonk it on the card!) with random dots from The Artistic Stamper.  Hope you like it! :)

I'm entering this in the following challenges:
Thanks for popping by and a huge welcome to my new followers, hope you are having a fab weekend! xxxx

Hollyhocks and butterflies.

Hello bloggers!

For this project I used a hollyhocks stencil by Donna Downey, dylusions inks, a butterfly from Clarity Stamps and the sentiment from Visible Image!  I coloured the butterflies with Neocolor II crayons.

I'm entering this in Visible Image's September challenge, which is all about the sentiment this month!  The sentiment I used here is from their Time after time set.

Lavinia Challenge!

Hello lovely bloggers!

It's the first of September today.... that's quite sad in one way because it means summer is nearly over and I've got to go back to work.... but fab in another way as it's time for another LAVINIA STAMPS CHALLENGE!!!

This month we would love you to create something with your Lavinia stamps, and then add a flower to it!
Don't forget the prize is a massive £40 to spend on Lavinia stamps, fab eh?  I've got some gorgeous oriental stamps from Lavinia, and I decided to use them to make my design team sample for this challenge, hope you like it!

I used Chinese house and Bonsai tree stamps in this card.  I used distress inks with ink dusters to make the background and a memory box die - Fabulous Phlox to make the flower.
I'm entering this card in the Make it Monday challenge.
Thanks for visiting, have a nice day! :) xxxxxx
