Rain, rain and more rain.....

Hello everyone!

We've had 3 days of gloom and rain down here in Kent, so I guess I've got rain on the brain....

The raindrops stamp is part of a set (Raindrops set) from Designs by Ryn.   The rain die is called Little Rain by Memory Box, and the clouds dies are from Impression Obsession.  Last but not least, the sentiment is from Bee Crafty.  I added Anita's 3D gloss to the raindrops stamp to give the card a little extra dimension.

Fingers crossed for some better weather soon!   Thank you for visiting. xxxx

Shimmery seahorses.

Hello blog friends!

I really should be outside enjoying the sun today, but I just had to try out some beautiful new embossing powders I found yesterday!  They are lustre embossing powders from Cosmic Shimmer, just scrumptious!
In this tag (that took ages and ages to make!!)  I used several stamps from Designs by Ryn, Seahorse set, Seaweed set and Rising bubbles.  There is a TCW stencil hiding in the background too, I think it is the Cell Theory stencil.

I hope in these close-up shots you can see the 'lustre' effect of the embossing powders.......

I coloured the rising bubbles slightly and added some stickles to the top of each bubble too.

I hope you like this tag, I'm quite pleased with the effect the powders give, another way to add lots of yummy texture!

Thank you for popping by, I'd love to hear what you think of it! :) xxxxxxx

Tim Holtz and Designs by Ryn....

Hello bloggers!

I've been away on a school activity holiday over the last week with an amazing bunch of 11 year-olds!  I had a fantastic week, thank you so much to the children and the activity centre!

Anyway, now I'm back to crafting again.... I ordered this Tim Holtz stamp set from America because even with the postage costs it was still cheaper than buying it in this country!! Madness..... The beautiful butterfly (or moth, I'm not sure lol!) is called Luna and is from Designs by Ryn.  I blended distress inks on the card before stamping with the word background.  The butterfly is coloured with drops of alcohol ink.

Hope you are all enjoying this Bank Holiday, so far so good with the weather! :)
Thank you so much for visiting, please leave me a comment, I do love reading them!.... xxxxxx

A new Rhedd and Rosie challenge!...

It's time for another Rhedd and Rosie Challenge!  This fortnight the theme is 'Blooming Lovely'.... and here's my DT make for the challenge.....

I've used African Daisy from Designs by Ryn, and the sentiment is from Bee Crafty.  I used a white gel pen for the stitching around the edge.  I think the flourish is a DooHickey die....!  I've glued little black seed beads in the centre of the flower.  Simples! :)

The challenge is sponsored by Sandie this time, and here's the fab prize she's donated.......  So off you lovelies go and enter the challenge!

Thank you for visiting today..... I'd love it if you could leave me a comment! :) xxx
BIG thank you and hello to my new followers!!  xxxxx

Has summer finally arrived?  The sun is out and the sky is blue..... it could be summer you know!
Feeling summery I felt like making a summery card.... and here it is!

Stencil is from The Crafters Workshop and the pretty lady is called Pure Elegance and it's made by Creative Expressions.  I coloured her with promarkers, copics and my gorgeous Prisma colour pencils.

Under the sea.....

Hello bloggers!

I've had a rest from my OU study today..... all work and no play makes Wendy very grumpy lol!!!
This under water tag was made using Left Corner Mermaid, Seahorse set and Seaweed set from Designs by Ryn.  Aren't they beautiful stamps?  The sentiment stamp is from The Artistic Stamper. The spiral stamp is a freebie from Craft Stamper also designed by The Artistic Stamper!
I've used distress inks in the background and liquid pearls for the little bubbles.  The mermaid and seahorse have got stickles on them to sparkle things up a bit!

.....and here's a close-up so you can see the sparkles a bit better.....

I hope you like it, I love the mermaid stamp so much and that little seahorse is just adorable!
Thank you very much for visiting, please leave me a comment so I know you've popped by....  xxxxx :)

Funky butterflies....

Hello bloggers!

I've got my fingers crossed that this blog post appears at 6.30am Tuesday morning.... I'm trying to learn how to schedule a post and have failed miserably so far lol!!

I made this tag using distress inks and the aid of my splodge mat.  I used a Kaiser craft stamp for the distressed bits on the tag, and another lovely 'wordy' stamp from The Artistic Stamper.  The butterfly is called Luna and is from Designs by Ryn.  I dripped alcohol inks onto acetate, took some ink off with the alcohol solvent and then stamped the butterfly on the other side of the acetate.  I then mounted the butterfly onto a piece of white card stamped with the same image.  I'm enjoying doing this sort of 'messy' craft now, it's only taken me about 17 years to get here.... ! :D

Thank you for popping by, and thank you lovely ladies who left me such great comments on my last post, I do appreciate them! :) xxxx

Ryn, Dylusions and The Artistic Stamper....

Hello again bloggy chums! :)

I really do love making tags, and this one combines the new Raindrops stamp from lovely Ryn,  dylusions inks and a sentiment stamp from Journaling Words 3 set from The Artistic Stamper.  I live about 5 minutes drive away from The Artistic Stamper shop near Faversham, a treat to pop in there on the way home from work! :)

Thank you for popping by, and many thanks to all you lovely ladies who leave me such super comments! xxx

Flying wellies!!!!!!

Hello lovely peeps!

This is a funny tag that I just had to make when I saw the stamps from Dylusions.... they just go so well with Designs by Ryn's Trickling Water and Raindrops Set!  Dear little wellie-boots, remind me of when my children were little and enjoyed jumping in puddles....

The background is another piece of a Gelli plate print, they are so useful!  I've found that it's so helpful to have lots of backgrounds in lots of colours using different techniques ready prepared so I can just get on with the nitty-gritty of the tag or card when the fancy takes me.

Hope you like it!  Thank you so much for visiting, I'd love it if you could leave me a comment so I know you've visited.  Big hugs xxxxxxxxx

Yippeeee....I'm on Rhedd and Rosie's design team!!

Hello everyone!

I'm very excited to be able to tell you today that I'm on Rhedd and Rosie's challenge blog design team now!
A new challenge starts today, and the theme is Fantasy/Mythical.  Our sponsor for this challenge is Rick St Dennis, his etsy shop selling digi designs can be found HERE.  Why not pop over to www.rheddandrosies.blogspot.co.uk and have a look at the design team's work for this challenge?  Get those entries in ladies, you could win 3 digi images of your choice from Rick's shop!!

My card was made using my old fav, the watercolour and salt technique, with Ryn's Rising Bubbles stamped on top.  I really enjoyed colouring Rick's fab image of a mermaid on seahorse-back! :)  I used a combination of ProMarkers and Copics.

I enjoyed working with this image so much that I made two cards with it!  Here's the other one....

This one has a background made with Dylusions spray ink, with Ryn's Sea Bubbles stamped over it.  I added sparkle with Stickles and Liquid Pearls.

I hope you've enjoyed looking at my first offering as part of the Rhedd and Rosie's design team! Thanks for dropping in and a big hug if you've left me a super-duper comment lol!! ;)  xxxxxxx

Gelli plate, Dylusions and Clarity!!

Hello bloggers!

I hope you have all enjoyed a fabulous bank holiday weekend... cars are queued for miles up the M2 trying to get into Whitstable today, I'm very lucky,I can just walk to Whitstable harbour!
I have been enjoying the weather recently and hence it is quite a while since my last blog, most unlike me.
I used a gelli plate to make the printed card for the dress/coat, I'm getting to grips with the plate now and how to use the prints too.
This tag was made with Dylusions products, which I love and am very excited about because I'm attending a course next month with Dyan Reaveley so I hope to learn how to make the most of the dyes and stencils etc!!  I also used Clarity stamp's lovely 'Feminine' word stamp, it goes so well with all sorts of stamps and styles.

Thank you for popping by! xxxxx

Lavinia Stamps Challenge no 3... Pastel colours.

Hello bloggers!

Today is the start of a new Lavinia Stamps challenge, this month the theme is Pastel colours.  If you have a blog and some Lavinia stamps you can enter for a chance to win £40 to spend on Lavinia stamps!!  Click HERE to go to the challenge blog.....

Here's my DT offering for this month, I've used the beautiful Giselle fairy for this card, isn't she pretty?  I added some Stickles to her wings and 3D gloss to the bubbles to give it a bit of fairy magic.  I used one of the french verses on the little ticket too.

In keeping with the pastel theme I thought I'd show you a card I made ages ago using Lavinia stamps.  I used PanPastels in the background, they blend so easily! This card used the dandelion stamp and the small pixie.

I hope you can join us in the challenge this month!

Thanks for visiting my blog, please leave me a 'hello' message so I know you've popped by! Many thanks xxxx
