Pink fairy

Hello Bloggers!
I've had a lovely few days with my parents visiting, we've been doing lots of craft and have been playing with all my wonderful Lavinia stamps!  (hence I haven't been posting on here as I've been too busy playing! :) )  Here's a card I made with Fall Fairy (large).

I also used the tree root, lavender, vine leaf and fern stamps. Oh, and some little stars too.  The inks I used are Adirondack Wild Plum and Purple Twilight.  I also edged the card with Adirondack Eggplant.
Can't believe the half-term holiday is nearly over... back to school tomorrow!
Thanks for visiting, xxxxxxxx

Oooo, love these birdies!

Good morning bloggers!
Look what arrived yesterday.... Dylusions 'Further around the edge' stamps and Elizabeth's craft designs 'bird' and 'hello' dies!!  I had to search high and low to find the dylusions stamp, everywhere seems to be out of stock, (I'm not surprised, that leaf stamp is just gorgeous...) apart from The artist trading post.  I ordered my dies from The Whitstable Stamp Craft shop by telephone and the lovely ladies got them in for me the next day!, or you can order them online from their partner shop Oyster stamps and their second class postage is freeeeee!
Anyway, enough of my rambling... I had a very quick play with them last night, those birds are so cute! xx

Sunrise

Hello!
I hope you are sharing in this gorgeous weather today... My brother-in-law, Dave, took a picture of the sunrise this morning and it was so lovely that I wanted to try and make a card with a similar sky.  Nothing so beautiful as mother nature obviously, but I enjoyed using my PanPastels and Lavinia stamps to create the scene.

I'm going out to walk my dogs in the sunshine now, top up my vitamin D intake! :)

Thanks for visiting, I'd love it if you would leave a comment so I know you have popped by! :) xxx

Celtic star

Hello bloggers!
What a beautiful day it's been today, naughty to spend time in the craft room really, but hey ho, the ink was calling!!!  This card was made using delicious dylusions ink spray, and Ryn's lovely Celtic star 2.  I got really engrossed in 'bleaching' out the ink with water on the stars, time flies when you're crafting doesn't it?!

Thanks for visiting! xxx

Happy 16th Hannah!!!

Hello bloggers!
Well, here's the card I've been working on this week, a birthday card for my daughter's 16th birthday!  She requested a tropical fish tank and pretty fish for her birthday, so I thought this card would be appropriate...

The fish called Wanda and the pretty sea bubbles are from Designs by Ryn and as always are totally fab stamps!  Well, I'd better go now and get ready for Hannah's birthday dinner out...

Wednesday 13th February

Hello again bloggers!
Been a crazy few days with a lot to think about...  Tomorrow is my daughter's birthday so I can't show you the card I've been making until then, I'm sure I shall be the only crafter to show a birthday card on Valentines day!! :D
So until then here is a card I made using beautiful paper from the Mariposa stack from DCWV, that my lovely friend Dianne bought for me.  The stamp on the tag is a Kaisercraft stamp, I love it!  Please excuse the photo, not one of my better shots!

And just so you don't think I've totally forgotten about Valentine's day, here's a card I made for hubby using Sizzix elegant flourish die...

Thanks for looking and please leave a comment so I know you have visited! :) xx

Sunday 10th February

Brrrr!  What a change from yesterday's almost spring-like weather....  no doggy walks today!
Plenty of craft time though, and here's what I made with Ryn's African Daisy...

I haven't made a pink card in ages, forgot how pretty a colour it is.  Yet again I made the background with Tombow pen scribbled onto watercolour paper, spritzed with water and sprinkled with salt.  I just love that effect - different every time!  The little message is from Lili of the valley's Christmas handwritten phrases set. The leaf die is a Magnolia Doohickey die.

A big hello and thank you to my new followers! xx

Saturday 9 February 2013

Saturday 9th February

Hey, it's the weekend!!
I was going mad this morning waiting for the postman to arrive with my new stamps... and now they're here!!  I did my usual and piled straight in, this picture was made using a combination of stamps from Designsbyryn.com and Laviniastamps.co.uk.  I used a background that I made a while ago using tombow pens on watercolour paper.  I spritzed over the seaweed to give a watery effect, much to my son's horror; "Mum, you've just ruined it!!"  The word is a little 'bit' from a set of stamps from visibleimage.co.uk.

I'm going to have great fun over the next week playing with my new stamps, don't you just love birthdays?! :-)   Have a fab weekend, thanks for visiting! xxxxx

Thursday 7th February

Hi bloggers!
I've gone vintage romantic today.  I just love this stamp called La Petite Musique from Clarity stamps, she's so beautiful!  The corner stamp is from a kit called Grunge corners by Lili of the Valley, and the sheet music is from Lili too.  The rose was made using a Tim Holtz Sizzix die, Tattered florals.

A big thank you to all my viewers! xxx

Wednesday 6th February

Good evening all!
I've just been having a play with my new Clarity butterfly stamp, and a Crafter's Workshop Squircle stencil.
I'm covered in ink and mica powder now!  Apologies for the photo, I'm not sure it's quite in focus, could be the camera, or it could be the glass of wine I've just drunk ha ha!!

Strangely, the ink I've used on the flutterby is the same as that used on the tag, but in the photo it looks completely different doesn't it?  Hope you've all had a great day, thanks for visiting! xxx

Tuesday 5 February 2013

Tuesday 5th February

Hello!
I thought I would show you this lovely card that my mum (Penny Booth) made and sent to me for my birthday, isn't it pretty?  She used Cherry blossom from Lavinia stamps, PanPastels for the stripe and the sentiment is from PSX.  The little butterflies were made using a punch, but I'm not sure of the make, sorry!  I love the linen card too, it adds subtle texture and looks really good when used with PanPastels.

Thanks for visiting! xxx

Monday 4 February 2013

Monday 4th February

Hello bloggers!
Well, at last a beautiful day!  Life seems so much nicer when the sun shines, and it's great fun walking dogs in nice weather.
Today I decided I would make a tag instead of a card.  This one uses water droplets, kelp and spiral shell from Designsbyryn.com, and my favourite colours; Adirondack stream and wild plum.
Tags are easier to make I've decided, not such a big area to fill ha ha!!  Hope you like it. xx

Sunday 3 February 2013

Sunday 3rd February

Good evening!
Something I really enjoy doing is colouring images with Promarkers.  I found some amazing tutorials on Bev Rochester's blog (bevscrafts.blogspot.com) that helped me to learn how to colour with promarkers and prismacolour pencils.
Here's a lovely image from Saturated Canary that I coloured, but I've never got round to turning it into a card!

Isn't she pretty?  I love her big eyes, all the Saturated Canary images have big expressive eyes and usually lots of lovely hair to colour!

Saturday 2nd February

Good morning bloggers!
I decided that if we have to put up with grey, cold weather, I'll jolly well make it sunny in my craft room!  This card is made with PanPastels, Lavinia stamps dandelions and a Clarity stamps sentiment.  Very quick and easy.  Mixing Diarylide yellow and Permanent red PanPastels makes this gorgeous hot orange.  Both the PanPastels and the Clarity stamp were bought in my fab local craft shop - Whitstable Stamp Craft, well worth a visit if you ever come to our quaint corner of Kent!

I took this photo of a sunset over Whitstable beach last summer, lovely! Who needs 'abroad' when the sun does finally decide to shine on us, eh?

Hope you all have a great weekend, full of crafty stuff! :-)  Thank you to all my visitors! xx

Friday 1 February 2013

Friday 1st February

Hello!
Oh dear, another wet and grey day here in Kent, had hoped we were in for a few dry and sunny days...
I made a card last night with Ryn's stamps, but unfortunately it didn't go as planned! So here's a card (again inspired by Eileen Godwin!) that I made a few months ago.  Koi and water droplets stamps from Designsbyryn.com.

I squashed a distress ink pad (broken china I think!) onto card and cut them out to make the squares. I stamped the fish over the squares in Versafine onyx black ink, and then covered them with masks made using post-it notes. Lastly, the water droplets were stamped over the top.  The colour was removed from the Koi's fins by painting with bleach.
