Visible Image Time!

Hello bloggers!

I entered a competition in June, we had to make a project using Visible Image's fab freebie stamp (Live, laugh, love)...
Well, lucky me, I won!!  The prize was £20 to spend on VI stamps, brilliant!   I chose their great Time after Time set and their Brick wall stamp.  Here's my first play with them...

I used UTEE on the clock face so it has a lovely gloss to it.  The word Time is embossed in white.
I'm going to enter this tag into Visible Image's challenge this month, which is Anything Goes!

Thanks for visiting my blog and huge hugs if you leave me a lovely comment! :) xxxx

Rhedd and Rosie time again!

Hello ladies!

It's time for another Rhedd and Rosie challenge, and this fortnight we would love you to create something 'For ladies'....
Here's my design team make for the challenge.....

It's my fabulous Stampinback man again!!  I stamped him on a piece of card, coloured him with watercolour pencils, then painted him with Glue 'n' seal.  When it had dried I stamped the lovely trickling water by Designs by Ryn at the top, coloured the drops with Tombow pens, then dusted the whole thing with Distress Ink.  I cut a hole in another piece of card, then embossed it to look like wood, coloured with DI, stamped the maple leaves from Lavinia Stamps in the corners and then typed the words and cut them out.... phew!

Do go and have a look at the work by the rest of the design team, its fabulous, and I love that we have all interpreted the theme differently!  Here's the fab prize on offer this time......

Lovely prize isn't it?!
I'm entering this in the Make it Monday challenge.
So thank you all for visiting, I'd love it if you could leave me a comment! :) xxxx

Designs by Ryn and Stampinback

Happy Bank Holiday bloggers!

I hope you have been enjoying your long weekend.  I've had a play with the Circles set from www.designsbyryn.com, the dancing lady from www.stampinback.nl , and the sentiment is from www.beecrafty.co.uk.

I used ink dusters to make the soft background for the dancer, with Peacock feathers and Picked raspberry distress inks, love them!

Congratulations Hannah!

Hi bloggers!

This post is all about Hannah, my lovely daughter who has just passed all her GCSEs with flying colours!
We are all so proud of her, she has worked really hard and deserves her success.  Well done hunny!

Hannah has always been quite a 'girly' girl, she loves Cath Kidston and making cupcakes.... so I used my Oxford Impressions set to make this congratulatory card for her.

There's quite a lot of sparkle on this card, which as usual doesn't show up on the photo!  I made the background with watercolour paint and a few salt crystals sprinkled on to form the speckled effect.  The background looks quite a brilliant pink here, but it's actually more of a soft pink, I really should try using a proper camera rather than my phone for taking pictures of cards lol!

Thank you for visiting my blog, I hope you enjoyed your time here! :) xxxx

Birthday Cupcake!

Hello bloggers!

I saw a beautiful card in Craft Stamper magazine this month, and just HAD to buy the stamp set used to make the card.  In the magazine the cupcake is topped with a little girl with wings, absolutely gorgeous!... but as this card is for my hubby I thought I'd better leave the fairy child off his card lol!!  As it is he probably will not be impressed with the colours or cupcake.... he's more of a rugby/football/beer card man really.  Never mind, I enjoyed making it! :)  The stamp set is from Oxford Impressions, I love the set but sticking all the stamps onto that backing cushion stuff was crazy!!  I got very cross and sticky, but I got there in the end.

I made the background with distress ink, a spritz of water and some drops of purple ink.

I've been on holiday for the last 2 weeks, so apologies for not commenting on your blogs, I'm getting round to you all I promise! :)  This was the view from our balcony in Lagos, Portugal.....  A beautiful place, well worth a visit if you are wondering where to go next summer!

Oh, do you like my new blog design?  I got bored with the pink background so went for the floorboard look instead, still not very interesting though!  I'd love to know how other people make their gorgeous blogs, I'd like to add seashells around the edge.... hmmm, maybe I need to google how to do it!
I'm entering this in the Make it Monday challenge.
Thank you for visiting and hugs if you left me a comment, I really do appreciate them! xxxx

Lace dress.

Hello my lovelies! :)

I've made something a little different... I've put Flower Lace 1 from Designs by Ryn on a Tim Holtz dressmaker's dummy!  The seamstress and scissors etc are from a sewing set from The Artistic Stamper.
I am entering this in the Make it Monday challenge

I embossed the lace, so it has a lovely raised effect that unfortunately you can't see on the photo. :(

Thank you for your visit and any comments that you lovely people leave me! xxxxx

Leopard Spots and a Poppy.... who'd have thought it??!

Hello bloggers!

Update... So exciting, I've just found out that this card won the Make it Monday challenge!! Yippee!

A huge 'Thank you' and a big 'welcome' to my new followers, I have over 60 of you now, yippee!! :D

I've combined Leopard Spots from Designs by Ryn and the large poppy from Stampinback to make this latest card.  I really enjoyed using browns and oranges for a change.

I coloured the poppy with water colour pencils, a very relaxing thing to do in the evening!
I'm entering this card in the Make it Monday challenge.

Hello lovelies!

It's Lavinia time again.... this time it's an Anything Goes challenge!!
So long as you are using Lavinia Stamps, you can design anything you like.  Don't forget the prize is £40 to spend in the shop!!  Here's my DT make for the challenge.... I made it months ago so it's nice to see it again lol!

I made a water colour background for the mermaid to swim in.... and used a TCW stencil with distress ink to add the blobby shapes.  Some stickles glitter, a few liquid pearl drops and she's away!
You can buy this beautiful mermaid from www.laviniastamps.com.
