Sooo many elements in this one!....

Hi bloggers!

Hope you are all having a fab 'n' crafty weekend?
I've just had a play with a new stamp from Stampinback, the beautiful Audrey Hepburn.  I was inspired by a project on the Artistic Stamper blog made by Emma Williams, she used these lovely hot colours and made pretty flowers.  I haven't made anything flowery for a long time, so I really enjoyed making this tag!

Here's what I used:
Distress inks, Wild honey, Barn door,
Modelling paste
TCW tiny circles stencil
Designs by Ryn Leafy branch
Stampinback Young Audrey
Visible Image freebie on Craft Stamper.
Tim Holtz Tattered florals die.

I'm also entering the Make it Monday challenge!

Phew!  Thanks for looking at my blog today, hugs if you leave me a comment too! ;) xxxxx

Ryn's leaves and Dragonfly fairy.

Hello bloggers!

A big welcome and thank you to my new followers! :)
Happy weekend to you all.   Hope you manage to do lots of craft over the weekend.

Here's a card I made last night using alcohol inks in the background, it gives a pretty marbled effect.  I stamped and embossed the 3 leaf set from Designs by Ryn, then attached Ryn's Dragonfly fairy that I stamped and painted with water colours.

In the close-up you can see the marbled effect from the alcohol inks.....

I'm entering this card onMake it Monday!

Designs by Ryn and Visible Image...

Hello!

A big welcome and thank you to my latest followers! xxx

Almost the end of the week.... :)
Today I'm posting a tag I made with Trickling Water and Raindrop set from Designs by Ryn, and the barbed wire, large rose and 'love' from the Immortal Love set from Visible Image.   I tried to follow my lessons from Dyan Reaveley, using lots of texture stamps in the background.

The background was made with Distress Inks and I added 3D gloss to the droplets.
I'm entering this tag on Make it Monday!
Have a good day!  Thanks for visiting, and big hugs if you leave a message for me to read! :) xxxx

PS.... I'm really sorry, but due to a lot of anonymous 'spam' comments that are popping up on my older posts, I've had to turn on comment moderation.... I will check my comments regularly and approve all the genuine comments from all you lovely ladies!

Dylusions and Visible Image

Good afternoon bloggers!

I hope you all had a fab weekend?
I went to a class taught by Dyan Reaveley (creator of the Dylusions range) yesterday, it was fab!  We were each given an art journal and spent the morning learning how to make backgrounds with the dylusions sprays, and how to add depth with stencils.  I was inspired by Dyan's samples to make this tag.....

All the stamps are Dylusions, except the Live, Laugh, Love, which is a Visible Image freebie on this month's Craft Stamper magazine.  The class was held at The Artistic Stamper shop in Faversham, Kent, and the owner, Jennie, now stocks all the Dylusions stamps and stencils, I could have spent a fortune in there yesterday!!

Here are some pictures of the backgrounds we made in our journals....

We learnt how to use the 'ghosting' technique, and used positive and negative stencil images with light and dark coloured ink to add depth to the page.

I hope you like the tag.  Thank you for visiting my blog, and big hugs if you leave me a comment! ;) xxx

PS - I'm entering this tag in the Make it Monday blog! and Artistic Inspirations challenge, stitching, real or faux.xx

Today I'm posting a card made with a Celtic heart stamp from Designs by Ryn, and a couple of stamps from a set called Immortal Love from Visible Image.  Have you seen this month's Craft Stamper magazine? The free stamp this month is from Visible Image, it's fab!

Beautiful mermaid from Designs by Ryn

Hello bloggers!

How lucky am I to be on Ryn's design team??? (I still have to pinch myself sometimes to believe it lol!)   I received some lovely new stamps from Ryn yesterday (thank you Ryn!) and I dived straight in (pun intended :D) and made this.....

Isn't she a beautiful mermaid?  Ryn says its one of her first stamp designs, I love it!  I started with a water coloured background, then dabbed distress ink through a TCW stencil called Coral.  I stamped and embossed Kelp and Seaweed, followed by the new Rising Bubbles.  The mermaid is water coloured and then I added stickles glitter and lots of little liquid pearl drops.  You can buy all these stamps from www.designsbyryn.com and Ryn is able to post to the UK, so we can all enjoy her stamps! :)

Hope you are all having a good week..... thank you for taking the time to visit my blog! I'd love it if you could leave me a comment so I know you've visited. :) xxxxxxx

A new Rhedd and Rosie's challenge!

Hello bloggers!

Today it's time for another Rhedd and Rosie's challenge.... this time the theme is Ribbons and Lace.
Here's my DT make for the challenge...

Believe it or not, there is actually some ribbon there, hidden under the layer of lace!  I've used a wooden heart shape from Craft Shapes Torbay, I painted it with Gesso and then stamped Leafy Branch (from Designs by Ryn) in Versafine Lagoon.   The butterfly dies are from Memory Box, the 'Art' word is from a set by Inkylicious.  The background I made with Kraft card and a wood-grain embossing folder.

Here's a message from our sponsors this fortnight......

Craft Shapes Torbay is a husband & wife team run from workshops in the sunny seaside town of Torquay in Devon.
It was created to help Kim, who originally set up her company Dotty Heaven who makes personalised and bespoke wooden gifts. She was finding it very difficult to source the right shapes and designs for her customers - and wanted to offer something a little different to the "run of the mill" craft shapes available for purchase on the internet.
Husband, Ashley researched different methods of wood cutting and after a year of using a CNC machine they decided to invest in a Laser Cutting machine.
Craft Shapes Torbay is still in it's early stages but in it's first 6 months of business is going from strength to strength - with a portfolio of over 100 designs already. New shapes and designs are being created every day and they welcome requests on new deigns too.

And here's the fab prize they are giving away to the winner!!

You can find our sponsors at www.facebook.com/craftshapestorbay?fref=ts  and at  www.dottyheaven.com

Go on ladies, have a go, it's good fun!  Thank you for popping by, please leave me a 'hello' comment! xxxxx
(PS, sorry about the font changes.... don't know what I've done there lol!!)

Hello and happy June everyone!
....lets hope today is the start of summer......

As it's the first of the month, it's time for another Lavinia Stamps Challenge!  This month the theme is Lovely Lavender.  Here's my DT make......

I've used the beautiful Cherry Blossom stamp from Lavinia Stamps, take a look at their website, Tracey Dutton designs beautiful stamps!!  I stamped the background with the cherry blossom and clear embossed it.  I then rubbed violet PanPastel over it and the the clear emboss picked up the colour, I wasn't expecting that!!  The main panel is coloured with PanPastels too and the blossoms are coloured with white gelli roll pen. The butterfly dies are from Memory Box.

Go on ladies (and gents!) get your Lavinia stamps out and have a go! The prize is a fabulous £40 to spend on Lavinia Stamps!!  That's an amazing prize!

Thank you for visiting my blog, I hope you like the card.  I'd love it if you could leave me a comment too! :) xxxxx
