Designs by Ryn - daisies and water droplets.

Hello lovelies, and happy Mothers' Day!

I've been having a play with Ryn's stamps (as always!) and decided to use dylusions inks again.  I sprayed the inks onto watercolour paper and let them sink in to achieve that really deep colour.  I stamped the droplets and then removed some ink before painting them with some of the beautiful new Wink of Stellar 'stuff', this gave the droplets a really pretty shimmer that is easily seen by eye, but not by camera unfortunately!
The African Daisy and Water Droplets 2 are both available on Ryn's website, www.designsbyryn.com

I hope you are all having a lovely weekend, and have been able to enjoy this fabulous spring weather!
Thank you for your visit, please feel free to leave a comment, I love reading them and really appreciate them all! :) xxxxxxxx

Designs by Ryn and Tyvek

Hello blog peeps!

I was inspired by some fantastic work by a lovely lady called Maria, she gives a description of how to use some amazing stuff called Tyvek paper.... Here's a link to her fabulous blog http://marjasknutsel.blogspot.co.uk/ go see what she's been making with Tyvek!
I have used some of the Tyvek paper here to make 'seaweed', love how the colour intensifies when you heat up the paper and the bubbles and crinkles form, great fun to use!   The pretty bubbles, fish and kelp stamps are all from www.designsbyryn.com.

Thank you so much for popping by, please leave me a comment, I'd love to know what you think of the Tyvek! :) xx

Inspired by Eileen Godwin!

Hello bloggers!

My mum and I were hoping to go to Eileen Godwin's craft workshop on Saturday, but unfortunately my lovely daughter was very poorly and we had to play nurse instead!   We did manage to fit some crafting in over the weekend though, based on the cards that Eileen was going to teach us how to make at the class.
On Friday some stamps that I won from a company called Flonz arrived all the way from New Zealand, so I teamed them with Eileen's coloured dots and voila!

Very simple single-layer cards, but I think the results are fab!   Thank you for the inspiration Eileen, sorry we couldn't be with you! xxxxx
Thank you for visiting, big hugs! xx

Tim Holtz pattern stamp

Hello bloggers!

Time for another Craftyhands challenge, this time the theme is 'Buttons and Bows'.....

I made the background with Antique linen and Frayed burlap distress inks, the splots are Tea dye.  The stamp is from a Tim Holtz set, 'Pattern pieces' I think.  The zigzag stamp is a Dylusions stamp.  As usual, we have a fab prize on offer at the Craftyhands challenge......

So come on peeps, get crafting with buttons and bows!
Thank you for visiting, big hugs! xxxx

Join us in the Lavinia Stamps challenge!!

Hello blog friends!

It's the first of the month, so that means time for another fabby Lavinia Stamps challenge!  This month the theme is 'add pink', easy-peasy!  For my design team make I used the lovely Nigela Damascena (or more commonly known as 'love in a mist'!)  The pink background was made with yummy panpastels and the letters are from a Tim Holtz alphabet die.

Don't forget that the Lavinia Stamps challenge gives away a fabulous prize of £40 to spend in the Lavinia shop, how good is that??   AND you can enter by email now, so you don't even have to have your own blog!  The only rule is that you can only use Lavinia Stamps and must follow the theme for the month.
Have fun and I hope you will join us soon.  Thanks for visiting! Big hugs xxxxxxx
