Girly Tim Holtz birthday card.

Hello lovelies!

I made a birthday card using Tim Holtz stamps and dies, I love using the techniques Tim shows us in his 101 and 102 classes!  They do take time, but they are great fun. :)  The white crayon used in the main image is a technique that I learnt at one of Eileen Godwin's fab workshops.

Hope you all have a lovely weekend, the sun is shining here and that makes me a happy bunny!  Thank you for visiting, big hugs! xxxx

Come back butterflies!

Hello crafty buddies!

I so want to see summer again, and the butterfly on this 'Our Daily Bread' stamp just made me remember how lovely summer and butterflies are!  I used picked raspberry and seedless preserves distress inks in the background and removed some ink from the petals with a water brush to lighten the colour.  I hope you like it!

Thank you for visiting, big hugs! xxxx

Designs by Ryn in Paris!

Hello peeps!

Ryn (Designs by Ryn) sent me her beautiful Gerbera stamp and I wanted to do something a little different with it, so I gave it some 'Tim Holtz' treatment!  The background was made with distress stains and the 'spritz and flick' technique with water, then the burlap stencil was used over the top.  The stamps are from the Mini Classics collection and the Eiffel tower is one of Tim Holtz's dies.  I coloured the Gerbera with Tombow pens and water.  The ribbon was coloured with distress ink.

I'm entering this tag in the Make it Monday challenge.
I hope you like it, I'm pleased with the colour of the Gerbera, such a pretty stamp!
Thanks for your visit, big hugs! xxxxxx

I made a tag last night with the beautiful Compound Leaf from Designs by Ryn, quite grungy I know, but I had great fun making that inky background!

Designs by Ryn Silhouette doves...

Hello blog peeps!

I had some happy, happy post the other day from Ryn (Designs by Ryn) and in the happy post were several of Ryn's stamps... One of them was her pretty Silhouette doves, a set of two stamps.  I've teamed them with the sentiment from Visible Image, the letter from the Artistic Stamper and Tim Holtz's quill from the writing desk die.  I used distress inks to make the background (antique linen and frayed burlap) and added accents of aged mahogany, I don't very often use that colour but I really like it here with the other creamy/brown tones.

I hope you like it!  Thank you for your visit, big hugs! xxx
