Brushos and Tim Holtz...

Hello blog friends!

I've made a card with the yummy-scrummy Brusho powders! Beautiful, vibrant watercolour powders that come in little pots and you can sprinkle them on your card and spritz with water to make colourful backgrounds. Many thanks to Eileen Godwin for introducing us to these pots of scrumminess! :)

Thanks for visiting! Xxx

Wow! New stencils by Designs by Ryn!!

Hello bloggers!

A very exciting day today, Ryn (Designs by Ryn) has started her own line of stencils, and today sees the release of three superb stencils!
I was lucky enough to be sent one of the stencils about a month ago, and have been itching to show you what I've done with it!  The other two are on their way from Canada so you'll see some more makes from me with those stencils soon....  I will post another card made with this stencil in a day or two.

I used dylusions inks for the background, then stencilled over the top with distress inks.  I used a Prismacolor pencil to underline the stencil shape.  This lovely stencil is called Floral Spirals, isn't it pretty?  The moth is called Lucine and is also from Designs by Ryn.  I embossed the moth in silver embossing powder and sprinkled a little of the powder around the moth to look like the dust that comes from moth's wings!  A touch of Precious Metal Colour in green from Viva made it all pop.  I hope you like it and will pay Ryn's website a visit, you'll love her stamps and stencils!!

Here's a lovely picture of Ryn and her other two stencils... they look fab, can't wait to play Ryn!! :)

Thank you for visiting, big hugs! xxx

Hello lovelies!

It's been too hot here in Whitstable to do anything much today, but I did do a little crafting! In the background of this tag I've used Patio Stone from Designs by Ryn and a script stamp from The Artistic Stamper. The lovely lady is from Crafty Individuals.

A fab day with Eileen Godwin and crafty friends!

I spent a lovely day making this chipboard cover for a notebook or album, but guess who forgot to punch the holes for the rings??!! We used regular emulsion paint for the background, and distress inks to stencil.

Hope you like them! XX

Frilly peony.

Hello bloggers!

I'm so busy at the moment with my Open Uni study that I don't have much time for craft! :(

I've ordered lots of lovely crafty bits recently which have had to stay in their packets, but this beauty just screamed to be stamped!! It's just part of the jumbo peony from stampendous (it really is jumbo!) and I love it. Obviously just a quickie card as time is short, but I enjoyed making it all the same.

Thanks for visiting, big hugs! Xxx
