Designs by Ryn

Hello bloggers!

I've had a play with some watercolour inks. I spritzed watercolour paper with a little water then dropped the inks on. The ink spread itself out and made this background! I stamped the Spiral Set from Designs by Ryn over the top in Versafine ink. The butterfly/moth is also from Designs by Ryn and is called Selini. You can also see a few of Ryn's famous water droplets in there too! You can find these stamps at www.designsbyryn.com.

Hope you like it and many thanks for visiting! Xxx

Lavinia Stamps Challenge

Hello bloggers!

It's time for a new Lavinia challenge! This month our theme is 'Any Colour You Like', how easy is that?? Remember you don't have to have a blog to enter, you can email your entry via the website HERE.

The prize is, as always, a whopping £40 voucher to spend on Lavinia products! All we ask is that you use Lavinia Stamps in your project and that you follow the theme. Here's my make to give you some inspiration (hopefully!)

I made a messy Distress Ink background and drew around the inky splodges with a silver gel pen. The dots on the toadstools are silver too. All the stamps are available from www.laviniastamps.com

Have fun and thank you for visiting! Xxx

Brusho background.

Hello lovelies!

Today's crafty effort was made with a purple Brusho background and the free stamp on the latest Craft Stamper magazine! I very rarely use those free stamps, but I used this one within an hour of it plopping through my door. :)

Wishing you all a lovely weekend, thanks for visiting! Xxx

Daisies.

Hello lovelies!

This card is my version of one that I would have made had I been able to stay at Eileen's workshop yesterday! It was made by first splattering masking fluid on the card, then colouring the card with Distress Inks once the fluid had dried. Water was spattered over the card to make patterns and gold pen drawn around the splats when dry. The masking fluid was rubbed off when the background was finished. The daisies are from Tim Holtz's set Flower Garden.

It's actually very sparkly, the next photo shows it a bit better...

The camera will only pick up the sparkle in one small area at a time, so annoying lol! Anyway, hope you have had a lovely weekend, thank you for visiting! Xx

Mixed media canvas.

Hello bloggers!

I've been to one of Eileen Godwin's fab workshops today, unfortunately I couldn't stay all day as my back started to complain but I did manage to stay long enough to make this canvas. You can find a link to Eileen's blog on my side bar. I've used those beautiful poppies again from Stampinback, I think there will be a few more sales of these poppies because lots of ladies at the class were asking where the stamps are from!

The background was painted with Distress Paints and Inca Gold paints rubbed over the top. I think I might actually pop this on a wall! Thank you for visiting! Xx

This card is quite glittery in reality, with gold embossing and gold gelli pen on the brown speckles, sorry the photo doesn't pick it up!

Tim Holtz tag

Hello bloggers!

I made this background months ago using Distress Paints scribbled on a craft mat, spritzed with water and then swooshing the card through the paint. The script is stamped in grey Versafine ink and the Eiffel Tower in black Versafine to give depth. The lady was stamped on card using Archival ink and coloured with Neocolour crayon. She was fussy cut and raised up on sticky pads. The butterfly was stamped, coloured and cut in the same way. The crinkle ribbon was coloured with Distress Ink. Hope you like it!

Thank you for visiting and welcome to my new followers! Crafty hugs xxx
