Designs by Ryn and more Tarmac!

Hello bloggers!

I've been at it again... more tarmac!  This time I've decorated a mirror a la Karen Clare, the very clever and very lovely lady who taught me this technique.  Have a look at Karen's BLOG to find out how to do this technique.
I used some of my fab stamps from Designs by Ryn to decorate the mirror, raindrops, circles and the striped reed set.

I love how the tarmac gives an instant aged look to the project, good and dirty! Look at the speckles on the letters, yummy!

Karen suggests highlighting with gold wax, it really makes the shapes pop!

Here's what the mirror looked like before the tarmac was added - too clean! :D

Thank you for popping by!  Hugs xxxx

Hey Wendy, thanks for adding the before and after shots. It really shows the effect of the Tarmac clearly. You're right, the first one looks almost flat in comparison. I'm going to have to play with this stuff at some point. You made an awesome mirror. Love the detailing in it!
