Hello lovely bloggers!
Yesterday I made my first 'solo' journal page! I went on a course run by Dyan Reavely some time ago and was shown how to use the dylusions inks and how to go about creating a page, but I haven't ever got up the confidence to tackle a page by myself.... until yesterday! I saw a beautiful canvas made by Debbie Freeman, (you can see it on her blog by clicking HERE) and she used a lovely stamp by Donna Downey. I loved Debbie's canvas so much that I was inspired to order the stamps and decided to be brave and do a journal page with them. I also used the lovely 'Compound Leaf', Abstract leaf and Raindrop set from Designs by Ryn, Visible Image's great sentiment stamp and Tim Holtz's umbrella man! Phew!
I do hope you like my first attempt at art journalling, hubby says it's good because the end product is neatly away in a book and not stuck all over the study walls like my tags!!! Heathen.....
Thank you for visiting, hope you enjoyed your stay! :) xxxx

Oh wow this is a stunning little piece of art. Love the silhouette person with the umbrella protection against the raindrops. Love the framing of the birds with the leaves.

Great use of the colours and the scenery is so nice Wendy. Love the drops
wow if this is your first you have mastered the art already! love it.
Beautiful AJ page Wendy and it's fun to do isn't it? You can put a lot of yourself in those pages. I've started with some but I don't seem to find the time to play with it!

Lol! He said that?! I WISH your tags were stuck up all over my wall! This is absolutely gorgeous Wendy. Kudos to you for trying something new and pushing yourself out of your comfort zone. I see you got a bunch of encouraging comments. Hopefully that motivates you to make more. The colour fade to the middle is really atmospheric. Love the canopy feel that you created with Compound Leaf and the way you make the Raindrops "pop". LOVE IT!!!
Oh my! That is just absolutely amazing, Wendy. Love the vivid colour.

I've never made a journal page myself, so I can relate to how it must feel to dare to make the first one! I think the outcome looks fabulous, and I'm extra impressed as it is your first attempt!
