Crafty Individuals

Hello bloggers!

A few days ago, when I was playing with my Bister powders, I made (quite by accident!) this lovely background that reminded me of waves. I almost didn't stamp over it because I liked it so much! The Crafty Individual Penguins are so sweet and go with the wave idea, so I braved it and stamped them over the top. I hope you like it! Thank you for visiting! Xxx

A journal page

Hello lovelies!

I actually got my journal out today, I haven't tried to do anything in it for ages! I was alerted to these fabulous Donna Downey Poppies by Eileen Godwin, and I just had to have them because poppies are my favourite flowers. I started with a Distress Stain background and stencilled over using the pretty Maidenhair Fern stencil from Designs by Ryn, and Donna Downey's Hollyhock stencil. I'm really pleased with this page and hope you like it too!

Thank you for visiting, hope you are having a fab weekend! Xx

Tim Holtz and Bister

Hello lovelies!

I just can't get enough of this Bister powder, I love it!! You never know what your background is going to look like when you are making it, so when you get a fab background it's a happy accident!

I decided to use all Tim Holtz stamps on this card with a Parisian fashion feel to it. Hope you like! Xxx

Something funny!

Hello bloggers!

When I saw the expressions on the faces of Tim Holtz's Crazy Birds, I knew I had to make this card!! I spent a happy time writing captions to go with all the birds, so you can expect a few more 'funnies' on my blog!

The background was made with the acrylic block technique and stamped over with Compound Leaf from Designs by Ryn. The branch is a stencil also from Ryn.

I hope you like my silly card, a good one for teenage boys I reckon! Thanks for visiting and for your lovely comments. Xxx

Designs by Ryn and Carabelle Studios

Hello blog friends,

I've been totally inspired by a lady called Hermine Koster lately, you can find her blog HERE. She used this lovely background stamp from Carabelle Studios on one of her cards and I just love it! I also added the pen nibs from a Tim Holtz set. Hermine also uses Bister a lot in her work and I really like the soft, natural colours and speckled effect that the Bister gives. As the Bister is so organic, I felt I wanted to add an image from nature as a focal point, and what better one to pick than the beautiful spiral shell from Designs by Ryn??

I really hope you like this masculine card, I don't often make cards for the men! Thank you for visiting and for all the kind comments I've received lately, you are all lovely! Xxxx

Stampotique fun!

Hello lovelies!

I'm having fun with all my new stamps, here's a tag using Stampotique's 'Spider girl'. The background was made with the Tim Holtz stencil 'Shattered'. The spiders have little black enamel bodies, love them!

I'm entering this tag in the Stampotique challenge, 'Circles'.

Hope you like my fun tag! Thank you for visiting, always much appreciated! Xxx

Stampotique on a Gelli background.

Hello blog friends!

I've been out of action for a little while as I've been in hospital having a slipped disc repaired. To cheer myself up I ordered a few new stamps from Stampotique and I felt strong enough to have a play this afternoon! You might recognise the background if you follow my blog, it's a piece of a gelli print that I made a long time ago and have used in several projects. I hope you like it!

I'm entering this into the mixed media world challenge at www.mixedmediaworld.blospot.co.uk

Thanks for visiting, big hug! Xxx

Getting inky with Designs by Ryn and Tim Holtz!

Happy Easter bloggers!

I hope you have all enjoyed the weekend so far and found time for all the things you love.

I've been playing with Distress Inks (mermaid lagoon, tumbled glass and picked raspberry) and stencils from Tim Holtz, and added one of the beautiful Hibiscus flowers from Designs by Ryn. Tiny black beads are stuck in the centre to add a bit of texture.

I hope you like this bright card! Thank you for visiting, big hug! Xxx

Lavinia Stamps Challenge - Lemon and Lime!

Hello bloggers!

April is here, and with it comes a new Lavinia Challenge! This month we want to see your projects in a Lemon and Lime theme, here are my DT makes...

I made the background with Cracked Pistacio and Mustard Seed Distress inks. The lovely stamps, are of course, from Lavinia Stamps!

W

This tag is more delicately coloured with PanPastels using the Versamark technique shown in this month's Craft Stamper magazine. Basically you stamp the image in the clear Versamark ink, then gently wipe over the PanPastels, the Versamark image will pick up the colour more intensely.

So Crafters, get out your Lavinia Stamps (we must see Lavinia stamps in your project please!) your lemon and lime inks/paints/PanPastels etc, and join in with the fun!! The prize is a huge £40 to spend on Lavinia products! Don't forget you can enter via email if you don't have a blog, details HERE. Good luck!!
