Stampotique - Kate Crane's Sailboat

Hello crafters!

Picked up this lovely Stampotique stamp today from The Artistic Stamper, it's so cute!

I made a watercolour background with Tombow pens and spritzed water, cut it with a stitched square die and mounted it onto the base card. I stamped the boat with Archival ink and coloured it with Prismacolor pencils. I used white liquid enamel to give the dots a bit of dimension and used foam pads to raise the boat up a little. Job done! X

Bister and Stampotique

Hello!

Here's my second Stampotique purchase this month, the lovely Ammonite shell by France Papillon. I stamped and embossed the shell with copper EP, then sprinkled and spritzed Bister powder in the background. I added highlights with my Prismacolour pencils and a sentiment to finish.

I hope you like it, thanks for visiting! Xxx

Long time, no posts! My mojo took a holiday recently but it came back today along with a couple of new stamps from Stampotique...

The lovely Rising Bubbles stamp that I used in the background are from Designs by Ryn and the Fishbone is from Stampotique. The bubbles were stamped with Versamark ink on Kraft card. I stamped and embossed the fishbone with white ep then sprinkled brown Bister powder over the top and spritzed with water. Hope you like!

Designs by Ryn and Bister.

Hello!

I've used my favourite stamp from Designs by Ryn on this card, Spiral Shell. I stamped and embossed with white embossing powder then sprinkled over Bister powder and spritzed with water. I decided to twist the mounts to echo the spiral of the shell.

Thank you for visiting! Xxxx

Spiritual journey...

Hello peeps!

I made a Brusho background for this piece, and stamped the fabulous Journey collage stamp by Stampotique over the top. I added some water droplets from Designs by Ryn and covered them with glossy accents to make them look shiny. Stickles glitter added to the wings and heart give a bit of sparkle to the Stampotique angel.

Thanks for visiting! Xx

Hello crafty peeps!

It's my lovely mum's birthday today, so now I can show you the card I made for her...

I used Altenew's Magnolias for her set along with a branch from a Tim Holtz die (Bird on a branch I think).

I wanted to make something with the 'wow' factor because it's Mum's special birthday this year, I hope I've achieved it with this card!

Thank you so much for visiting and for your kind comments, they're much appreciated! Xxx

A little bit of glitter...

Hello peeps,

I hope you are enjoying the fabulous weather this week, so lucky to have the sunshine in the school holidays!

I've made this congrats card with Altenew Peony Scrolls, I stamped and embossed in white on watercolour paper and then coloured with Distress Inks. I haven't used glitter paper in such a long time, so it was nice to make a card with a little sparkle and glamour, hope you like it! Xx

Thank you for your visit! Xxx

Bister and Brusho collection

Hello,

Bister and Brusho are so popular at the moment, rightly so, they make fabulous backgrounds with minimum effort! I thought I would gather up some photos of my favourite makes with these products and put them together for you to see (many thanks to my dear friend Didi!).

Bister is my personal favourite, I love the natural tones of this dye and the little brown flecks give lots of texture. The little particles take slightly longer to react with water than Brusho, so you have time to play and get the look as you want it. Brusho colours are more vibrant and as they react very quickly with water, I sometimes feel that it 'gets away' from me and the colours merge too much. I use these products slightly differently, the Bister I sprinkle on my craft mat, spray with water then lay the card on top. I usually sprinkle the Brusho onto the card then spritz with water. Either way, they are fun and fabulous!

Here's a list of the stamps used:

Top left - Dylusions Background Love, Tim Holtz Runway

Top middle - Tim Holtz Flower Garden

Top right - Background stamps from Carabelle Studio, Shell from Designs by Ryn

Middle right - Tap from Carabelle Studio, Droplets from Designs by Ryn

Bottom right - Carabelle Studio background, Stampinback Poppies

Bottom middle - Viva Las Vegas!

Bottom left - Carabelle Studio Histoire du temps, Stampinback Poppies

Middle left - Various 'sea themed' stamps from Designs by Ryn and a Tim Holtz sentiment.

Thanks for visiting! Xxxx

Bister, Brusho and Tim Holtz...

Happy Easter peeps!

Hope you've all shared and enjoyed the beautiful weather today, had a walk on the beach with the dogs this afternoon and listened to the sea, lovely!

I was in the mood to crack open my Bister again and wondered what a dash of red Brusho powder in with the Bister would look like... Well, this is what it looks like! I stamped Tim Holtz's Daisy in Versafine Onyx Black and coloured it with Prismacolour pencils.

Hope you all have a peaceful, happy Easter. Many thanks for visiting, big hug! Xx

Altenew - Wild Hibiscus

Hello peeps!

Another Altenew card today, hope you're not getting bored with them?! I'm certainly not bored of these beautiful stamps, so many ways they can be used... Here I've just stamped the Hibiscus outline in Versafine Smokey Grey and water coloured loosely with Worn Lipstick Distress Ink. I made my own splatters in the background by tapping a loaded paintbrush over the card. I added some crystal stickles to add sparkle but, as usual, it doesn't show on the photo!

Thank you for visiting, much appreciated! Xxx

Designs by Ryn and Hobby Art

Hello peeps!

My mojo has returned, and boy am I glad it's back!! Today I made a background with Distress Inks and the acrylic block method, that is I put some ink onto an acrylic block, spritzed the block with a little water then plonked it on the card, very technical!! Next I squidged (and yes, I do mean squidged 'cos the paint had gone a bit dry!) some Inka Gold paint in jade through the beautiful Maidenhair Fern stencil from Designs by Ryn. Actually, I quite like the rough texture that the dry paint gives, even if I was a bit grumpy about the paint drying out!...

Then I stamped the dear little birds from Hobby Art across the page, and coloured with Prismacolor pencils and gold glitter pen. I added a few of my latest fave accessory, sequins, and away we go...

Hope you like!! Thank you so much for visiting, big hug! Xxx

Mother's Day

Hello bloggers!

Happy Mother's Day to all you lovely mummies out there!!

I fell in love with a beautiful card on the Altenew blog by Therese Calvird (lostinpaper.wordpress.com) and Therese had made a video tutorial to show how to make this card and colour these beautiful Altenew flowers...

The design is all Therese's work, I've just tried to follow her tutorial and my goodness, I certainly enjoyed giving it a go!! I'd forgotten how much I love 'colouring in'. If you haven't looked at Therese's work before, do have a look, her designs are beautiful...

I hope my mum loves it! ;). Thank you for visiting, big hug! Xxxx

Stampin' Up - Balloon Celebration!

Hello!

I made a card for my 10-year-old niece today, I love the Balloon Celebration set and it's just right for a girly birthday card! I dabbed ink around some cloud-shaped masks to make the sky, I cut out the balloon, gave it a coat of glossy accents and raised it up on 3D pads. Simples! :)

Designs by Ryn, Leafy Branch

Hello!

Yesterday was so lovely and sunny and I felt that Winter was on its way out, but this morning it was very cold and raining again. I was reminded of the saying 'one swallow doesn't make a summer'!

I've used the pretty Leafy Branch from Designs by Ryn on this card, along with a Swallow stamp from Carabelle Studio.

Hope you like it, and thank you for visiting! Xx
